Prestige back on the Main address - XXV Breaker Street
6 September 2008, Jenny Rogers, The Gold Coast Bulletin

MAIN Beach is fighting to reclaim its title as the city's elite suburb with a new ultra-luxury development leading the way.

Work has begun on the $53 million XXV Breaker Street residential tower, a joint venture by Macquarie Real Estate Equity Fund and Parkview Group.

It is due for completion in October, 2009.

The 25-level tower will have 26 apartments -- seven half-floor apartments, 18 whole-floor apartments and a three level penthouse.

Alexander Property Group's marketing manager, Jude Johannesen, said the project had already achieved more than $26.5 million in sales.

"XXV Breaker Street will play a key role in the rejuvenation of what is the Gold Coast's most exclusive suburb with attention to detail exemplified in the quality design and fixtures and fittings incorporated into the project." she said.

"Each of the apartments comes with extra-large floor plates and spectacular ocean views on one of the last remaining developable sites at Main Beach.

"In recent times Main Beach has re-emerged as the Gold Coast's premier cosmopolitan and lifestyle destination, with major residential projects such as XXV Breaker Street re-igniting the trendy beachside suburb."

XXV Breaker Street is being built on a 2248sqm block of land between the upmarket dining and boutique retail precinct of Tedder Avenue and the beach.

Half-floor apartments start from $950,000, whole-floor apartments start at $2.05 million. The penthouse is due for later release.

The ground floor podium will be dedicated to health and leisure facilities including a lap pool and deck, covered open spa, gymnasium, sauna, residents' lounge and landscaped barbecue area.
